When I was asked who would appear on KONCENTROHU, I did not announce a list of names. I asked the people following us whom they wanted to hear. There might be someone valuable we had not thought of.
That idea came from our trip through Europe. People following the journey recommended places to visit. We followed some of those suggestions, discovered interesting places and met interesting people. I wanted to bring that openness into the podcast.
Suggestions from the community, direction from us
I described two sources for choosing guests: recommendations from our community and the subjects we wanted to explore ourselves. Albanian identity, our values and what was happening in Albania were among the themes I mentioned. So were spirituality, different beliefs and the things that bring us together.
A guest might be an expert, someone with an unusual perspective, or a successful person who was less widely known. Recognition alone was not the criterion I described. The question was what someone could contribute to the conversation.
Several voices on one subject
I also suggested staying with a subject across several conversations. Four or five guests could approach the same theme from different angles, helping us understand it more deeply before moving on.
This was a plan, not a confirmed guest roster or episode schedule. I wanted room for a conversation to introduce us to another person or a new question, just as the trip had done. We were open to recommendations without wanting every step predetermined.
