Remembering why your roots matter

I shared an illustrated image with an invitation to remember why we are here. It combines an Albanian figure in a plis, a double-headed eagle and a digital, imagined landscape.

The words about the soul choosing to be Albanian express a spiritual belief. I read that image as an invitation to think about belonging and responsibility, not as historical or scientific evidence.

For me, remembering our roots should lead to something we do: speaking the language, listening to older people, learning carefully and treating others with respect. Pride has more substance when it becomes a daily practice.

The artwork accompanies that reflection as an illustration. It is not a photograph of an event or a reconstruction of the past.
