When someone blocks you, respect the boundary even while your feelings remain unresolved.
Did they love me? Were they using me? Will they come back? Those are the questions behind the situation I discuss in this TikTok post. They are understandable questions. They also keep the other person at the centre of every decision.
My answer starts with what is observable. If someone has blocked you, do not call from another number to get around it. Whatever remains unresolved, a block is not a challenge to find a different route to contact.
When someone blocks you, stop pursuing contact
We cannot know exactly what another person thinks from a follower’s account of events. Affection, uncertainty and selfish behaviour can exist in the same story. Guessing which explanation is the complete truth will not necessarily tell you what to do next.
You can make a decision without that answer: stop pursuing contact. Stop checking whether you have been unblocked. Let the boundary guide your behaviour even when your feelings have not caught up.
Give yourself a next step that does not involve them
The wish for one final conversation can become a reason to keep reopening the situation. Try writing what you wanted to say without sending it. Speak with someone you trust about what you need to change in your own life. These are practical suggestions, not a promise that the pain disappears immediately.
My point is not that your feelings do not matter. It is that they do not give you control over someone else’s availability. Bring your attention back to your responsibilities, your relationships and the choices you can actually make. Sometimes closure begins with the contact you choose not to pursue.
