I was talking with friends about creativity and the fear of sharing what we make. I know that hesitation too. Even recording yourself can feel difficult before you press the button.
Encourage the people around you to make something. Share your own attempt too. It does not have to be perfect to start a useful conversation.
Sharing does not have to mean a public launch in front of everyone you know. Choose one person whose response you trust, or a small group interested in the subject. Tell them what stage the work is at and what kind of response would help.
For a short piece of writing, ask which sentence stayed with them. For a video, ask where the idea became unclear. That gives the conversation a purpose beyond a general verdict on whether you are “creative”.
If someone shares unfinished work with you, take the risk they took seriously. Point to something specific, then offer a useful question or observation. You can be honest without making the person regret showing up.
For your own work, choose a version small enough to finish and share. A paragraph counts. A rough sketch counts. One clear thought on camera counts. The next version can improve through what you learn. Let the first version exist long enough for that learning to happen.
