We had already filmed Fidan and Samira’s love story. In Düsseldorf, we met them again. This time, just for a coffee and a conversation.
They had met through dua. There is something I value in seeing the people behind a story again, outside the moment when we are formally telling it.
An app can be part of an introduction. The relationship that follows belongs to the two people living it. It is their time together, their conversations, their life.
For this stop on our Europe trip, there was no need to make the meeting into a bigger claim. Fidan, Samira, a coffee, and the pleasure of meeting again.
That is one of the reasons to leave the screen and show up.
