A journey is also made of the posts that need only a few words. At the start of October I shared a moment on the way to Germany. Later came Zurich, the move into Italy and the everyday company of the people travelling with me.
In Zurich and Milan, our posts invited people to meet us. One asked for a good café in Zurich; another invited the community in Milan. They were invitations made during that trip, not events still open for registration.
Milan also brought playful clips, dancing and a simple observation that the city was giving me inspiration. Before leaving, one joke showed the person who normally gets ready last urging everyone else to hurry.
The lighter recordings included a light-hearted exchange in the car and a clip about excuses on a night drive. They belong in this diary as moments we shared, without turning their jokes or borrowed audio into factual claims. Together with the photographs from Zurich and the first day in Italy, they preserve the mood between the longer stories.
