“What do you see in this painting?” That was the question in my short video from our Arbëreshë visit. The camera lingers on a painted street scene, then takes us outside to a balcony with flags.
The pleasure of the clip is in looking closely. A detail inside the building becomes something we can look for in the street itself. Books, pictures and the surrounding neighbourhood meet in the same small visit.
The recording shows the painting, but does not give a reliably readable artist credit or date. I am leaving those details open rather than assigning the work to someone. The image here is a frame from the actual visit.
