The villa made me curious before I went inside. Grand from the outside, a different atmosphere within. At the Ernst Fuchs Museum in Vienna, the building was already part of the visit.

The Ernst Fuchs villa: start with the building

The first clip shows the exterior, including columns and a statue. The museum’s official history identifies the building as Otto Wagner’s first villa, completed in 1888.

This is part I of three short posts, not a complete museum guide. Follow it with part II for colour and light indoors, and part III for details around the entrance. Keeping them together lets you follow the visit without losing the original clips or their individual perspectives.

Come inside for the colour and light in part II.
