In Kruja, I recorded myself reading a passage attributed to the Ottoman historian Ibn Kemal. Its vivid description of Albanian fighters caught my attention, and I asked whether others had encountered it before.

The attribution also appears in published conference proceedings on Albanian–Italian relations. On page 368, footnote 497 points to Selami Pulaha’s 1968 collection of Ottoman sources. The passage and bibliographic reference.

This gives the quotation a traceable source trail, but it is not a check of the original Ottoman text. I am therefore describing it as a passage attributed to Ibn Kemal and avoiding a claim that the wording in the video is a verified, word-for-word translation.

What I shared was a moment of discovery during the visit. The original recording preserves that encounter; the reference here gives anyone interested a place to continue reading.
